From the famous Texas Red Beds, this fossil is the foot claw of an odd extinct creature called an Eryops. A tetrapod, which is considered a primitive amphibian, this ancient oddball lived during the Permian of what is now Texas predating the dinosaurs. The tiny example has nice form and even a slight curvature.
