    Dioptase & Calcite
Tsumeb Mine, Tsumeb, Oshikoto Region, Namibia

"A low mound of tiny white calcite crystals with brilliant green dioptase crystals to about 12 mm growing on them. Bought the specimen from Clive Queit in Tsumeb."
    - Rock H. Currier

This is another extremely fine example of one of the "stars" of Tsumeb. The bright, glassy green Dioptase crystals stand out in stark contrast to the sparkling white Calcite background. The fact that Rock bought this specimen directly from Clive in Tsumeb speaks to how good this Dioptase really is ... that it stands far and away above the pack, especially in light of the constant stream of Dioptase packages that Clive was constantly sending Rock. He knew a good one when he saw one.
