    Dinosaur Tooth
    Carcharodontosaurus saharicus
    Late Cretaceous
    Tegana Formation, Kem Kem Basin
    Sahara Desert, Morocco

This is a truly monstrous tooth, from a truly monstrous Dinosaur. With the root cavity considered, along with the cusp of the tooth, the remnant measures a long 5.5 inches (13.97 cm) - enough said. This huge example of Dinosaur dentition is quite ominous with fine serrations present on both edges. The massive "blade" has a rich "brown mustard" coloration with some minor areas of inconsistent discoloration. The majority of the cusp appears to have little to no restoration or re-coloring. This large tooth does display remnants of a crack running diagonally essentially between the cusp and the root cavity. It is not at all uncommon for larger teeth to be found in pieces and reassembled. This "killer" from the Cretaceous of Morocco has about everything that could be desired in a huge theropod tooth. The "meat eating" lizard that once owned this fossil would have been something even in its time. One side of the tooth exhibits a pronounced pattern of "folds" on a linear plane following the edge of the tooth near the peripheral line.
    Overall Measurements: 5.65 x 1.81 x 0.96 inches (14.35 x 4.60 x 2.45 cm)

[Scale: 1 inch, with mark at 1 cm]
