    Brahin Meteorite Slice
    Pallasite, PMG
    Gomel', Belarus - (52° 30'N, 30° 20'E)
    Found: 1810

To say this is a massive slice would be an understatement as this Brahin exceeds 1,200 grams. The large stabilized slab is loosely shaped like the continent of Australia in the abstract and replete with gorgeous Olivine crystals of a golden-brown over both wide surfaces. This offering is rather thick, likely to provide stability for the material that is known to be delicate, which only serves to enhance such a grand example of this Pallasite. What this specimen lacks in translucency, it more than makes up for in dramatic appeal and visual impact. This is one incredible combination of substantial size, nice form and colorful contrast. The size of the crystals covering the underlying metallic surface make this Belarusian slice a masterpiece.
    Overall Measurements: 12.60 x 9.06 x 0.24 inches (32.00 x 23.00 x 0.60 cm), weighs 1,209.24 grams

[Scale: 1 inch, with mark at 1 cm]
