This reddish-brown chunky crystal comes with a label indicating it is from Madagascar which is not really likely. It is also now appropriate to refer to this mineral as Cheralite. Brabanite is considered radioactive although this example is certainly not bright or colorful. The piece has some striations on the waxy faces and contains some muted golden yellow banding adding to the overall visible impact of the oddball rock.
