    Description

    Amethyst
    Artigas Department
    Uruguay

This impressive, wave-form natural sculpture of Amethyst points is replete with hundreds of perfectly shaped euhedral, hexagonal crystals in a beautiful and expansive offering. The intensely, deep purple saturated hue of these examples of the semi-precious gemstone is what sets material from Northern Uruguay apart and is sought after by collectors as some of the most aesthetic Amethyst in the world.
The immense size of this specimen, weighing approximately 120 pounds (54.5 kilograms), adds to the uniqueness of the specimen which was excavated with its edges smooth polished with no damage to any of the majestic crystals. Discovered in 2019 and presented at the Denver Gem and Mineral Show, this singular Amethyst was heralded as the "Piece of the Show" at that international event. This large specimen is offered with a custom black metal stand for impactful, dramatic, and decorative display. With inherent wavy form and a natural dynamism, this example of the February birthstone is superb.
    Overall Measurements: 20.00 x 20.00 x 15.00 inches ( 50.80 x 50.80 x 38.10 cm)
