Agatized Petrified Wood on Custom Stand
    Natogyi, Mandalay Division
    Myanmar (Burma)

This polished piece of Petrified Wood from Myanmar (formerly Burma) is truly spectacular! Not only is this a highly decorative specimen long, measuring some 5 feet (1.5 meters) end to end, but it shows an extremely contoured surface that exhibits a myriad of colorful earth tone hues. The wood from this locality is typically distinguishable by two features, namely the presence of pure white coloration somewhere on the log and intricate polishing that emphasizes the varied and complex exterior of the wood before fossilization ever occurred. This sizable log, custom mounted on a detachable, matte black, metal armature, is a swirling mixture of dark and light browns, cream, and white. This is a major display specimen with virtually unlimited decorative appeal. The natural aspect of the fossil coupled with the overall artistic look of the log makes it suitable for almost any environment or surrounding. While there has been a significant amount of this material showing up on the market in recent years, this example is truly one of the best and should appeal to everyone: whether a collector, curious novice or, even, interior designer.
    Overall Measurements: 60.2 x 15.0 x 10.6 inches (153.0 x 38.0 x 27.0 cm)
    Offered at no reserve.
