Michael DeBakey Signed 3-Dimensional Heart Model

While this colorful and accurate plastic model of the human heart is quite impressive as is, especially as it comes apart in two sections allowing for viewing both the visible external and internal features of the organ. The model is secured with a metal pin rod to a plastic base that just happens to be signed by the legendary cardiac surgeon, Michael DeBakey, whose career spanned an astounding 75 years. The medical pioneer has a list of accomplishments much too long to detail and was even awarded the Presidential Medal of Freedom. This is a rather unusual offering but something of great intrigue autographed by a giant in his field, and the model has individual components of the heart numbered for reference although there is no legend.
