This large paperback volume represents the actual final Flight Plan for the Apollo 11 Mission that carried astronauts Neil Armstrong, Buzz Aldrin, and Michael Collins to the Moon in July of 1969. Signed by Flight Director Gerry Griffin, this flight plan describes in detail all aspects of the mission to land humans on the lunar surface. Of note, Griffin served as Flight Director during the entire Apollo program and as Director of the Johnson Space Center. The legendary engineer received both NASA's Distinguished Service Medal and the Presidential Medal of Freedom in a storied career where he worked alongside the likes of other known personalities, including legendary Gene Kranz and the Apollo 13 crew. The native Texan was instrumental in achieving the goal of putting humans on the Moon. The booklet is in excellent condition. Griffin has inscribed the Apollo 11 Flight Plan with the wording "This flight plan describes in detail all aspects of the mission." followed by his signature as "Gerry Griffin Flight Director" in black ink and cursive script. This unique offering, related to a historical period, has only a single smudge on the underside edge. A Beckett sticker at the bottom of the inside front cover serves to authenticate the fine autograph.
