This extremely rare First Edition of E.L. Krinov's The Iron Shower about the Sikhote-Alin Meteorite features numerous illustrations. Krinov led the first expedition to the fall site. Printed in Moscow in 1981 in softcover, the volume is written in Russian. Geoff Notkin has only seen two copies of this book during his storied career in person. The book chronicles two different periods of expeditions to the crater field and about the work performed there. This offering was inscribed to Dr. Elbert King and signed by Krinov, the eminent Russian scientist. "E.A. King" is written in cursive on the top right corner of the cover. This is a rarity of considerable value due to the two legendary experts having utilized the incredible old volume.
