    Description

    Native Silver
Pohla-Tellerhauser Mine, Schwarzenberg, Erzgebirgskreis, Saxony, Germany

This is without a doubt a spectacularly rich and heavy specimen, weighing 1.6 kilograms (3.5 pounds). It is loaded with gorgeous dendritic growths of Silver. The Silver forms attached to and growing over the native rock ore, for which the mine operates, which consists of both Bismuth and Arsenic. The Silver is everywhere, all over every side. The piece is rich and probably came out early when these came to market in the west after the Wall fell. An old label from Victor Yount dates to the 1990s and has a price of $15,000. This is said to be from his worldwide private collection and then passed through Exceptional Minerals, from which a later label shows a price of $14,500 when purchased by the current owner. Overall, this is an incredible older example of rich material with a lot of history and of unusual size.
    Measurements: 5.91 x 3.74 x 2.20 inches (15.00 x 9.50 x 5.60 cm)

Provenance: The Collection of a Southern Gentleman, Ex. Exceptional Minerals, Ex. Victor Yount Collection

    Estimated Gallery Pricing: $10,000
