This beautifully terminated Schorl crystal from the Erongo Mountains of Namibia displays the dramatic form and deep black luster that have made the species one of the most recognizable members of the Tourmaline group. Strong vertical striations run along the prism faces and create striking contrast against the reflective termination at the top of the crystal. The specimen presents excellent definition and a bold geometric structure despite the compact thumbnail size. This well-formed crystal from the famed Erongo region offers an attractive addition for collectors who appreciate classic mineral aesthetics and distinctive natural symmetry.
