Handfuls of thick, tabular Wulfenite crystals, measuring up to 1.0 centimeter across the edge, line the side of this specimen. Along with an intense orange color that stands out beautifully against the matrix, each crystal has a nice luster that gives the Wulfenite (primarily along the side faces) a notably waxy sheen. Most of the wear is consolidated to smaller crystals on the edge of the specimen, leaving the larger, more impressive crystals in excellent condition.
