TOURMALINE
Stak Nala, Haramosh Mountains, Skardu District, Baltistan, Gilgit-Baltistan (Northern Areas), Pakistan

This is a very nice combination specimen from the well-known Tourmaline source of Stak Nala: it shows two doubly-terminated and complete Tourmalines, one of 3.25 inches (8.3 cm) in length and the other just barely under 3 inches (7.53 cm) partially engulfed by rosettes of white Cleavelandite and several colorless, euhedral Quartz crystals. The Tourmalines show great color zoning, going from colorless at one end to leaf-green, then on to a dark green-black, then colorless, and finally pale pink at the opposite termination. The luster of the striated prism faces is excellent and overall condition is pristine except for a chip out of the bottom of the main Quartz crystal, where it would not normally be visible.
Overall measurements: 3.5 x 3.5 x 2 inches (8.9 x 8.9 x 5.1 cm).
