A striking specimen from the Quiruvilca Mine, this piece is composed of a tightly interwoven cluster of robust, modified Pyrite octahedrons, which are not seen as often from this prolific Peruvian locality. Each crystal has a rich brassy-yellow color and shows strongly pronounced natural beveling that is enhanced by the Pyrite's strong metallic, mirror-like luster and accentuates their sharp habit. The largest crystal, presented near the center of the specimen, reaches a respectable 2.8 centimeters across the edge.

More Information: This piece is in great condition. Please note, there is some older black mounting putty on the underside of the specimen.
