Affectionately dubbed "Mango" Quartz, the tropical color of this material comes from the dense inclusions of Halloysite, on its own an unassuming species from the kaolinite group. These fibrous inclusions are isolated to the terminations of the Quartz points, offering an attractive and aesthetic clear-to-yellow gradient, feathered out by the fine hairlike structure of the Halloysite. This cluster has a very nice arrangement, with long, large crystals that have enough thickness and substance to present the termination inclusions well, while still being elegant. The Quartz bursts out from the origin point in a nice spray. This example is from the historic and extremely significant 2017 find of Halloysite-included Quartz from Cabiche, an area that has been long-mined for Emeralds but only produced these instant classics relatively recently, to collectors' delight. All terminations are in excellent condition, either perfect or with negligible chatter. There are partial recrystallized points on the back. This specimen comes with a custom engraved acrylic base.
