Description
GOLD NUGGETAlaska
Gold nuggets come in two basic forms: Ugly but valuable or ... good-looking and also valuable. This zinger is definitely of the latter class. Stout masses of high-karat Gold enclose just enough milky white Quartz fragments to add character to the whole contorted mix of buttery yellow and pure white. Although we assert its Alaskan origin with certainty, the precise location did not accompany the nugget. However, our opinion is that it is very similar to examples from the Dome Creek Mine or the Eagle Creek Mine; scenes of some fairly impressive finds in the past. Even though it is made up in part of Quartz, a more than nodding acquaintance with physics allows us to predict with a considerable degree of accuracy, that it contains around 12.1 Troy ounces of the metal that powered more wars and empires than just about anything else, with the possible exception of - religion. This piece is in excellent condition.
Overall Measurements: 3.09 x 2.26 x 1.25 inches (7.84 x 5.73 x 3.17 cm)
