There are garnets and there are GARNETS. Razor sharp and extremely lustrous, these dark beauties almost obscure the mixed garnet/epidote matrix while showing off absolutely classic Garnet form. The color is a deep reddish black and the matrix association leads one to think that they are most likely the Andradite version of Garnet, usually formed in skarn deposits. The largest crystal is approximately .63 inchs (1.5 cm) across and all of the crystal are brilliantly lustrous. There is one chip to a crystal, otherwise the condition is excellent to pristine. It comes with a custom acrylic base.
