    Description

    Epidote
    Calumet Mine
    Turret District, Chaffee Co.
    Colorado, USA
    3.52 x 2.55 x 1.45 inches (8.96 x 6.5 x 3.7 cm)

Considered one of the most outstanding display minerals, Epidote may not be a common variety known to the majority of casual enthusiasts. While this specimen does not showcase the delicate or elongated crystals prized in the most collectible of pieces, this example does display the deep olive green color so associated with this species. The lustrous Epidote here populates a matrix of green, and white crystals.
