Everyone knows that Georgia is the place to go for peaches. Not so many know that Georgia has supplied some exceptionally fine Amethyst crystal groups in addition to those fine peaches. The distinguishing features of the Jacksons Crossroads ones (Amethysts; not peaches) are: deep purple color, extremely high transparency and brilliant luster. All of those attributes are present in this matrix specimen. It is composed of approximately fifteen Amethysts of stout form, becoming both deep purple and more transparent as their terminations are approached. Condition is excellent with one lesser crystal sporting a small 'ding.' This piece was probably mined ca. 2005 and it comes with a custom labeled acrylic base.
