The term "Faden" Quartz refers to a tabular, flat stack of crystals that are conjoined by a white threadlike inclusion that runs through the center of each crystal. This Faden Quartz specimen looks very much like an old-fashioned signpost. This piece is a particularly nice miniature specimen that demonstrates the Faden habit beautifully. The terminations, all doubly terminated, in fact, become beautifully transparent and gemmy as the signature Faden cloudiness fades out from the center.
