One of two forms of Jade, Jadeite (also known as "soft Jade") is rarer, harder and more valuable than the other form, Nehprite. This miniature example features numerous tiny crystals of green and white which makes the piece special. The provenance does not hurt either as this specimen has been owned over time by A. L. McGuinness, Bill and Carol Smith and Dave Bunk, with all the labels to document it.
