Arguably some of the best hoppering in crystallized Gold specimens can be found from the famous Serra do Caldeirão Claims of Mato Grosso. This particular Gold specimen is an exceptional example, showing a broad and extremely pronounced mural of hoppered "steps" that ascend the front side of the specimen in an acute, triangular formation. The remaining sides of the specimen are smothered with sizable dendritic growths (which also have nice skeletal features) and smaller hoppered features that give the piece a three-dimensional appearance from every angle. Each of the Gold crystals has a very rich golden-yellow color and a splendid metallic sheen.
