    APATITE with ELBAITE
    Golconda Pegmatite, Golconda District, Governador Valadares, Doce Valley, Minas Gerais, Brazil

    This thin blade or 'fin' of Albite is partially encrusted by a dozen or more brightly scintillating, lavender Fluor-Apatite prisms, some doubly-terminated, coating the sides of the 'fin,' along with a few dark green Elbaite prisms. An excellent miniature specimen, it has Fluorapatite crystals up to 0.47 inches (1.2 cm) in length and three Elbaites as well measuring up to 0.47 inches (1.2 cm) in length. Except for one ding to an Elbaite, the specimen is in excellent condition. The Apatite exhibits bright yellow fluorescence.
    Overall measurements: 2.0 x 1.5 x 1.1 inches (5.2 x 3.7 x 2.8 cm)
