Gold is inherently rare, and less than two percent (2%) of all Gold exists in a nugget form, with the majority of the precious metal getting melted down as part of its refining process. Larger nuggets, such as this serious example, weighing 21.8 troy ounces, are really few and far between. Gold from Australia boasts a high purity content, and this specimen exhibits very little associated Quartz matrix. This is one massive and solid Gold nugget from Down Under with a captivating shape, a brilliant luster, and a classic coloration. With complex texture and two sides of which either could be the primary display face, this is a highly collectible as well as significantly valuable specimen of the universally iconic mineral. Measuring approximately 3.5 inches (8.9 cm) by 2.5 inches (6.4 cm), this offering is quite rare and impressive to behold.
