This incredible Gold nugget, which is really a collector specimen piece, and more of a Gold on Quartz, is big, bold and beautiful. Not surprisingly from Australia, this export from 'Down Under' is highly lustrous, and the complex, textural and intricate surface of the piece makes it something very special indeed. Any nugget this large - and weighs a significant 565 grams (18.16 oz t) - is inherently rare, and this piece being so aesthetic is a bonus of great appeal. This nugget rests in both vertical and horizontal orientations without need of a base and is visually compelling from every side and angle. An additional and intriguing aspect is the presence of visible Quartz "pebbles" inside various cavities within the piece. This is, simply, an exceptional Gold from a region known for producing some of the world's best specimens. This indeed is no exception to that contention and represents an example that can be prized for years to come as an anchor piece in any fine mineral collection. Aussie Golds typically have high purity, and this one really shines.
