    Description

    Crystallized Golds

    Gold Crystal
Colorado Mine (Colorado Quartz Mine; Colorado Quartz claim)
    Colorado, Colorado Mining District
Whitlock Mining District, Bagby-Mariposa-Mount Bullion-Whitlock Mining District
Mother Lode Belt, Mariposa Co., California, USA

A stunningly striking example of crystallized Gold, this specimen is exquisite on both sides. Complex structure and brilliant luster combine to make the highly aesthetic piece a supremely collector item. Highly textural over the entire exterior, this representation boasts rich yellowish coloration with highlights of underlying golden tones and literal sparkles from top to bottom over the sharp shape. Given the rarity of Gold in crystalline form, this represents an uncommon opportunity for a collector, especially those with a passion for California material, even though the mine is named the Colorado. With size qualifying it as a miniature, this work of natural art deserves to be in a fine display cabinet.
    Overall Measurements: 1.26 x 0.83 x 0.45 inches (3.19 x 2.11 x 1.14 cm), weighs 20.06 grams
