    Crystallized Gold
    Serra do Caldeirão claims
    Pontes e Lacerda, Mato Grosso

When crystallized Gold specimens started coming out of the Serra do Caldeirão Claims of Pontes e Lacerda, Mato Grosso, Brazil in 2015, the exceptional material became nothing short of a sensation as the then premier source of world-class specimens became a Gold rush. While many of the pieces were impressive with respect to crystallization and aesthetics, most were not particularly large, or heavy, in terms of weight. This unparalleled example is intricately crystallized, very aesthetic and visually striking but also relatively massive. Weighing an astonishing 439 grams, equating to over 14 troy ounces of very high purity Gold, and measuring nearly 4 inches (10 cm) tall, this top-quality, cabinet-sized specimen is unbelievably dynamic, quite impactful and stunning. Displayed on a custom engraved acrylic base, this treasure from the famed locality, which notably no longer produces these examples, with heretofore unseen crystal detail, purity of content and overall appeal. This truly colossal representation exhibits all the superlatives of the best smaller specimens yet has the added bonus of an immense size. The twists and turns of this highly textured wonder add dimensionality to the dramatic and, without question, true museum-quality mineral. This is a superior and world-class piece from a world-renowned locality, virtually without peer.
    Overall Measurements: 3.84 x 2.12 x 1.50 inches (9.76 x 5.39 x 3.80 cm), weighs 439 grams

[Scale: 1 inch, with mark at 1 cm]
