    Description

    Crystalline Gold
    16 to 1 Mine (Sixteen-to-One Mine; Original Sixteen-to-One Mine)
    Alleghany, Alleghany District (Forest District)
    Sierra Co., California, USA

At nearly 10 inches (25 cm) long, this incredibly massive example of crystalline Gold from California is as sharp to the touch as it is in looks. To simply state that this is a massive collector specimen would be an understatement of epic proportions given its uniqueness and beauty. However, its largess is still certain to dominate any display case. Weighing in at a solid 63.78 troy ounces, this Gold is exceptional on both sides, and its natural orientation allows for a hugely impactful presentation. Its irregular free-form shape will draw a lot of attention with one side exhibiting a more intense crystalline habit, while the opposite side is a bit more flattened likely due to contact. The gigantic "check mark" Gold is simply exquisite.
    Overall Measurements: 9.57 x 5.71 x 0.96 inches (24.30 x 14.50 x 2.45 cm), total weight 1,984 grams (63.78 oz t)

[Scale: 1 inch, with mark at 1 cm]
