This bright pinkish-red specimen glows under longwave ultraviolet light and represents Ruby from Nepal making it a most unusual variety of fluorescent mineral. Colorful forms in the rock are prominent against the otherwise dark background of this piece. The combination of exotic locality and hue is rather special.
