This substantial Quartz sphere is chocked full of long, thin Schorl crystals, with the longest reaching over 12 centimeters in length. Virtually all of the Schorl crystals within this sphere are preferentially coated with a beautiful Muscovite association, where the Muscovite is crystallizing along just one side of the Schorl, rather than coating the entire crystal. This gives the effect of a string of jewels lined up along the Schorl, due to their shimmering luster and bright white color. Additionally, there is an internal fracture in the sphere that has been stained and filled with iron oxides, giving the sphere a beautiful rust-red accent to complement the otherwise monochromatic color scheme.
