Malachite has been prized for centuries due to its intense and enticing green coloration. This top example from a major locality features large sections of undulating bands of varying shades of intense green Malachite. Formed as a by-product of Copper mining, this exotic material is more than a secondary material. This one-of-a-kind sculpture features an organic and intriguing shape. Massive "bull's-eye" circles are visible across all viewing faces creating a visually dynamic piece of natural art with further organic cavities adding to the overall appeal. The sizable example weighs 39.5 pounds (17.9 kilograms) and features a flat-cut bottom for easy installation without needing a base. Not only is this fine specimen highly aesthetic, but it is also in great condition with an even and high polish to bring out the natural beauty of this coveted green mineral. There are only a few surface scratches, which is to be expected for such a large specimen.
