PYRRHOTITE ON QUARTZ
Nikolaevskiy Mine, Dal'negorsk, Primorskiy Kray, Far-Eastern Region, Russia
A "bridge" formed of brassy barrel-shaped Pyrrhotite crystals arches over a matrix of needle Quartz and minor Calcite crystals. The Pyrrhotites are 5/8 inches wide and the overall specimen is 3 ½ x 4 7/8 x 2 7/8 inches. Mounted on a custom labeled base, it is in very fine condition. Ex Vladimir Pelepenko collection.
