IMPOSING BLUE TOURMALINE WITH ROSY TERMINATIONS

This towering Tourmaline has a blue body color with a purple-lilac core near the base. It is an aggregate of many subparallel crystals with distinctive cranberry-red terminations that appear golden yellow when viewed from above. There is a small amount of damage to some individual crystals, otherwise in excellent condition especially for its towering height. This Tourmaline is quite large for the species at 15 3/8 inches tall with a diameter of 4 ¼ to 2 5/8 inches. It rests upright on a custom labeled base. It was purchased from Richard Sun in 1993.
