AQUAMARINE 'FLOWER'
Nagar,Hunza Valley, Gilgit District, Northern Areas, Pakistan
This group of Aquamarine crystals is one of the largest to come out of Pakistan in a number of years. There are 25+ powder-blue prisms, some up to 3 inches long by 1 ¾ inches in diameter. The glassy crystals are terminated by simple flat surfaces, some of which display interesting 'hopper' types of growth features. Accompanying them are a profusion of silvery bladed Muscovite crystals clustered around the bases of the Aquamarines. There is a minor amount of damage to the Muscovite, not unusual in specimens of this size and weight, otherwise the condition is excellent. This fine, large specimen sits on a custom acrylic base.
