AMETHYST STALACTITE
Artigas, Artigas Department, Uruguay
A tall, single stalactite of pale Amethyst with a golden core. Crystals at the tip are partially overcoated with caliche (?). There is a small piece of matrix or wall rock at the base. This singular stalactite is quite long at 5 7/8 inches, especially in consideration of its diameter of 1 5/8 inches. In fine condition, the only damage is at the attachment point at the base. Sits upright in a custom labeled base.
