A vibrant selection of sizable Wulfenite crystals (up to 2.7 centimeters) from the San Francisco Mine-one of the premier localities for specimen-grade Mexican Wulfenite-presented atop a starkly contrasting white matrix. This specimen is part of the seldom-seen selection of larger Wulfenite specimens that came out of the San Francisco Mine during the mid 1970s (between 1973 and 1976 for this piece, specifically). The Wulfenite crystals are like miniaturized windowpanes, each being transparent and fully saturated with a deep orange color. Characteristic of the locality, most of the crystals are adorned with orange botryoides of Mimetite, giving the smooth, blade-like crystals an added surface texture.

More Information: Considering the naturally low tenacity and thinner stature of Wulfenite, this piece has an overall good condition with chatter along and bruising along the crystals' edges. This specimen is naturally brittle and may shed minor fragments during handling or transit. Please take care when unpacking and handling, and consider storing in a stable, protected environment to minimize material loss.
