Wulfenite is a mineral that can be as delicate as it is gorgeous, having unique crystal shapes and a range of vivid hues. Most of the crystals in this specimen are a deep reddish orange. Inside each of the Wulfenites are subtle, alternating zones of lighter and darker oranges that model the crystal's overall shape and original borders. At the center of the crystals are brown cores that, like the other zones, follow the same beveled-square pattern. This cluster of thin, intertwining Wulfenite is spread across a lower quantity of Gossan matrix. The bold, reddish color found in Wulfenites has been the staple of the Jianshan Mine, which this piece exemplifies. Per Wulfenite's brittle nature, a portion of the crystals in this piece have damaged edges, along their outermost portions.
