Vanadinite has been a favorite of mineral collectors for years. This large cabinet specimen features hexagonal single crystals up to 0.8 inch (1.8 cm) across a contrasting black matrix. The color ranges from deep orange to a dark red exhibited by most crystals. The luster is sub-adamantine, and the crystals are sharp. This is a seriously good example of this very attractive Lead mineral.
