A staggering single crystal of Tourmaline from the Santa Rosa Mine that is complete all around with an acute termination and fully saturated with a deep olive-green hue. Most of the crystal is covered in thick swathes of parallel growths that give the piece textural depth and glisten wonderfully from the Tourmaline's vitreous luster. The Tourmaline has a nice gemminess primarily towards the bottom of the crystal and just below the prismatic faces, which is best seen with backlighting. Minor associations of white Cleavelandite crystals are lightly dusted across the top and sides of the Tourmaline, offering a subtle but welcome contrast to the specimen. This piece comes with a custom acrylic base.
