Description
Selenite var. GypsumNaica Mine, Naica, Saucillo Municipality, Chihuahua, Mexico
10.6 x 8.3 x 7.9 cm (4.2 x 3.3 x 3.1 in)
Sharply formed, transparent Gypsum crystals sweep across this specimen in densely packed fields. Each blade-some reaching up to 2.7 centimeters in length-has a glassy luster and features not-so-subtle curved terminations that lend the piece a dynamic, almost "windswept" appearance. The crystals are predominantly colorless but display striking rust-red inclusions and coatings beneath the surface.
More Information: This piece is in excellent condition with minor wear on some of the crystal edges. Please note, there is some older black mounting putty on the back side of the specimen.
