Marra Mamba tiger's eye is found in only one locality in Western Australia. Unlike the more common form of tiger's eye, the bands of silky golden tiger's eye, strong red jasper, and metallic black hematite are not so tightly compressed together, and the cut and polished slabs of this mineral display greens and blues not present in the more common variety. This is a beautiful good-sized slab, shimmering with different colors and luster. The wide bands seem to "drip" into one another in an extraordinary demonstration of nature's ability to produce a canvas and evocative as anything in man's attempts at abstract art. It measures 31 x 12 inches.
