    Description

    Pyromorphite
    Daoping Mine (Tangping Mine)
    Gongcheng Co., Guilin, Guangxi
    China

This magnificent and bushy Pyromorphite came out of the Daopoing Mine in China back in 2003 so is considered "older era" material and also represents the ONLY pocket that features "Les Farges green color" in homage to the French material it resembles. Presented on a custom engraved base, this is a masterful Pyromorphite with superb color and form. This example is quite substantial unlike so many fragile specimens and offers a massive roundish cluster of sharp biological-looking crystals along with several other lesser equal in crystal size and color. This is one large and supremely collectible mineral from China of a popular variety for which the country is well-known for producing. Its combination of size, form and color makes this a very special specimen ready to take center stage in any display case. A piece this size in pristine condition nearly 20 years later is an anomaly, and the example shows outstanding 360-degree dimensionality as it is complete all around.
    Measurements: 5.81 x 4.14 x 2.52 inches (14.77 x 10.51 x 6.40 cm)
