Description
PyromorphiteDaoping Mine (Tangping Mine), Gongcheng Co.
Guilin, Guangxi
China
From the famed Daoping Mine, this specimen out of the collection of Young Minerals Collector Zhang Jingnan represents the "older" Pyromorphite material, that came out circa 2003. The most noticeable of its numerous attributes is the color, which looks much like the "Les Farges" hue from the classic French find that has captivated collectors. This relatively massive plate is replete with bushy organic crystals of a biological nature in appearance and are in visibly excellent condition. The back of the rock features a sparkly more yellowish-green coloration with a porous texture that is quite visually appealing. This is an impressive Pyromorphite for both color and size. Its shape and open cavity add to the overall attractiveness.
Measurements: 6.69 x 4.33 x 1.99 inches (17.00 x 11.00 x 5.05 cm)
Provenance: Ex. Zhang Jingnan Collection
