NATIVE COPPER

This massive Native Copper group features some of the more cleanly defined and sharp crystals ever found. It is literally awash in pointed forms reminiscent of bronze Chinese arrowheads. These cover virtually all of one side of the mass. The other side is still composed of Native Copper crystals, but they are much smaller in size and without the sharply defined forms. What little amount of "matrix" there is appears to to be very consistent with an Upper Peninsula of Michigan origin. Patina is the "old saddle leather" type that is most desirable in Native Copper specimens. This piece is a classic.
