The secondary Copper minerals Azurite and Malachite often occur together, and associations of the two colorful varieties can result in outstanding specimens. This rather unusual occurrence consists of a "worm" of velvety green Malachite atop a mass of dark blue Azurite. The rich crystals are tiny but numerous, and the rock glistens all over its colorful surface. The Malachite form on top exhibits different tones of green, and the unique dynamic growth really adds another dimension to this already attractive big blue beauty. With a custom, engraved acrylic base, this odd association will be a stunning edition for any display case. Azurite and Malachite pieces from Laos are quickly becoming quite popular in the collecting community.
