Description
GypsumNaica Mine, Naica, Saucillo Municipality, Chihuahua, Mexico
29 x 21 x 14 cm (11.42 x 8.27 x 5.51 in)
Highly structural and asymmetrical jackstraw grouping of transparent to translucent lustrous Gypsum rods from the famous Naica Mine. The isolated crystals have grown out into a crisscrossing network resembling a Cave of Swords diorama. The alluring piece with individual elongated crystals measuring up to 21.8 centimeters has a refined and delicate appearance. The ice-like Gypsum crystals have a visual softness to them with slightly beveled edges. The refined 360-degree display definitely exhibits a "less is more" aesthetic.
From the collection of Daniel "Dan" R. Kennedy.
More Information: The piece is in excellent condition with some contacting to the Gypsum and stabilizing on the right side of the specimen.
