Group of (5) Mineral Specimens

Offered is an assortment of five (5) cabinet-sized mineral specimens from the Daniel "Dan" R. Kennedy collection-some of which are from his earliest days of collecting. This lot contains two Adamite specimens from the Ojuela Mine in Mexico, both of which present several crystals across a limonitic matrix and fluoresce apple green under UV light. Additional pieces include an on-matrix Hemimorphite from the Ojuela Mine, a Calcite with Quartz combination specimen from Naica, Mexico, and a Sand Concentration (locality unknown).

The two Adamite specimens and the Calcite with Quartz combination specimen were self-collected by Dan in the 1960s at the Ojuela Mine.

While the Sand Concentration may not seem like much aesthetically, the piece holds a very sentimental place within Dan's collection. Dan was gifted this piece in the 1960s from his uncle, making it one of the earlier pieces within his original collection.
