    FLUORITE
    Xian Fang Pu Mine, Chenzhou Pref., Hunan Province, China

    This is an interesting three-dimensional structure of transparent green Fluorite cubes with small colorless Calcites dusting portions of the Fluorite. Certain sides of the Fluorite cubes have milky areas just under the surface producing an odd effect: when looking at the specimen from one direction - the cubes all look cloudy, but when looked at from the opposite direction - they are glassy and transparent green. Condition of this specimen is excellent with no visible damage. Although the label says Xian Fang Pu Mine, there is no listing for a mine of that name, however very similar material comes from the Xianghuapu Mine in the same prefecture. The largest Fluorite crystal is .81 inch (2.1 cm).
    Overall measurements: 7.88 x 6.31 x 4.31 inches high (20 x 16 x 11 cm). Offered at no reserve.
