This very large, single octahedral Fluorite crystal has a unique texture: the surface is intricately marked by a light dissolution or etching, just on the primary faces, but the beveled/truncated corners are relatively smooth, with an almost waterworn appearance. The contrast between the two surfaces emphasizes the wonderful structure of the Fluorite crystal, which is accented by some matrix at the top. Inside the crystal are all kinds of shades of blue, and even hints of purple, shifting depending on which angle one views the specimen from.
